Once a year you can get help with your electric bill. Sometimes bills get out of control and once you are under the weight of past due notices it can feel like there is no way out. Fortunately, once a year Hawaiian Electric offers two options to get assistance with your bill.
“LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) is a federal program that provides qualifying low-income households with a one-time credit to offset household energy costs. Applicants may apply, once per program year, for one of two types of credit: Energy Credit (EC) or Emergency Crisis Intervention (ECI).”
